Cause Analysis and Solution of Motor Overheating Fault

1. Cause Analysis of Motor Overheating Failure
① The power supply voltage is too high, which greatly increases the heating of the iron core;
② The power supply voltage is too low, the motor is running with the rated load, and the current is heated when the Ambassador winding is over;
③ When dismantling the windings, improper thermal disassembly is used to burn the iron core;
④ Iron core phase rubbing of stator and rotor;
⑤ The motor is overloaded or started frequently;
⑥ Cage rotor broken bars;
⑦The motor lacks phase and two-phase operation;
定 After rewinding, it is determined that the winding is not sufficiently dipped in paint;
⑨The environment temperature is high, there is much dirt on the surface of the motor, or the ventilation duct is blocked;
⑩The motor fan is faulty and the ventilation is poor; the stator winding is faulty (short-circuit between phases and turns; the internal connection of the stator winding is wrong).
 
2. Troubleshooting motor overheating or smoking
① Reduce the power supply voltage (such as adjusting the power supply transformer taps). If it is caused by the wrong Y and Δ connection of the motor, the connection should be corrected;
② Increase the power supply voltage or change the thick power supply lead;
③Repair the iron core and remove the fault;
④ Eliminate rubbing points (adjust air gap or setback, car rotor);
⑤ Load reduction; start control according to the specified number of times;
⑥ Check and eliminate rotor winding faults;
⑦ Restore three-phase operation;
⑧Adopt secondary dipping and vacuum dipping processes;
⑨Clean the motor, improve the ambient temperature, and adopt cooling measures;
⑩ Check and repair the fan, replace if necessary; repair the stator winding to eliminate the fault.
